Amazon is opening its latest Software Development Center in downtown Madrid to build innovative features and services for its websites and mobile apps. This new, Madrid-based technical team will play a key role in innovating on the shopping experience of Amazon customers across its five European websites, from personalization and machine learning to advanced search and new programs and services for Amazon Prime members.
This is the second tech center that Amazon will have opened in Spain in less than a year and just the latest of many recent investments in Europe by Amazon.
The new Center will be developing services and features to be rolled out on Amazon’s websites in Europe and across the world. During 2016 Amazon plans to recruit talented professionals to work in Madrid across a range of roles, including Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Technical Program Managers, Systems Engineers and Software Development Managers. Their work will span from front-end customer experience to back-end service technology.
Spain represents a deep and creative engineering talent pool, and we’re thrilled to create a team of experienced engineers that can develop new features for our customers in Spain, across Europe, and around the world.
