Created to promote exceptional Italian creativity and craftsmanship, Amazon’s Made in Italy store now allows more than 5,500 Italian companies to sell their products in 11 countries around the world.
The Made in Italy showcase offers more than 3 million products worldwide, featuring 18 curated regional routes which highlight local excellence across Italy. Since 2019, Amazon has collaborated with the Italian Trade Agency, which supports the business development of Italian companies abroad and promotes foreign investment in Italy to boost the development of these companies.
Since its launch in 2015, Amazon's Made in Italy showcase has served as a transformative platform for Italian SMEs, connecting craftsmanship, design, and culinary traditions to customers worldwide. As we celebrate its tenth anniversary this year, we’re proud to announce that exports of Italian companies that sell on Amazon reached €3.8 billion in 2024. This milestone represents a decade of success, challenges, and unwavering commitment. Above all, it celebrates the people and stories behind Made in Italy, who have shaped it into what it is today – the premier destination for authentic Italian excellence.
In 2022, we introduced Made in Italy Days, an international initiative created to enhance Italian excellence and promote the internationalisation of SMEs. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the Italian Trade Agency, this promotional window offers Italian companies the opportunity to reach international audiences through targeted promotions and enhanced visibility across Amazon stores in eight countries worldwide. Over the years, the initiative has demonstrated consistent success and in 2024, it was part of the first National Day of Made in Italy, established by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
To mark the tenth anniversary, coinciding with the fourth Made in Italy Days (26th May – 2nd June 2025), we’re launching the 'Amazon Made in Italy Awards - The Faces of Italian Excellence in E-Commerce.' The ceremony will celebrate ten outstanding SMEs featured in the Made in Italy showcase across five categories, highlighting both their entrepreneurial success and the showcase's decade-long journey.
