Just in time for Eid al-Fitr, Amazon has collaborated with talented artists to create special edition Amazon Eid Electronic Gift Cards (eGift Cards) for customers. Centred around togetherness family visits, feasts, and gifting between family and friends, Eid al-Fitr celebrates the end of the Holy month of Ramadan fasting. Each design stems from the artists’ interpretations of Eid and bring to life elements from the celebrations, the culture, and the heritage shared across the region, while infusing their personal attachment to the Holy season.
In the UAE, the vibrant collection features designs by gifted students from the Rashid Centre for People of Determination , a Dubai-based humanitarian organisation providing integrated education services and therapies for children with great potential. In Saudi Arabia, the newly launched collection features colourful artwork designed exclusively by artists from within Aleradah Organization for Talented People with Disability, which is dedicated to supporting members in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo Mouchawar, Amazon’s Vice President for Amazon Middle East and North Africa (MENA), said: “At Amazon, we are committed to bringing varying backgrounds, ideas, and points of views together, as we continue to invent on behalf of our customers. This year, we are thrilled to have collaborated with both the Rashid Centre and Aleradah Organization, witnessing the incredible talent their communities possess, and working with them to showcase their art to our millions of customers through the Amazon Eid eGift Cards collection. This collaboration forms part of our continued effort to bring joy to our customers, offering them more ways to gift each other during Eid, while raising awareness around the homegrown, diverse, incredible, and inspiring talent that resides in the region.”
About the Amazon.ae Eid eGift Card Designs
The first design was created by Zainab Chaudry Naveed, taking inspiration from her favourite Eid elements and using her favourite colour, yellow, resulting in a vibrant art piece with bold shapes. The second design, embodying the values of inclusivity and togetherness, was created collaboratively by an entire class of students at the Rashid Centre. The design is not only a beautiful representation of their creativity and talent, but also a testament to the power of coming together.
