Young people in Warsaw will be able to boost their STEM (Science Technolgy, Engineering and Maths) skills as Warsaw’s first STEM Kindloteka - the 106th Kinloteka in Poland – opens it doors.
Located at the Warsaw Social Innovation Laboratory “Synergia” (16 Markowska Street, in the capital’s Praga Północ district), this modern space offers free, inspiring workshops focused on STEM education, including classes in programming and robotics activities led by qualified teachers, STEM Kindloteka is an initiative run in cooperation with the Digital Coaction Association to promote reading and STEM education, and over half a million children have participated in interactive and engaging workshops to make the world of science and technology accessible and fun since the scheme launched in 2019.
Amazon has equipped the newly opened Warsaw location with cutting-edge educational tools, including Kindle tablets, educational robots, programming kits, and diverse teaching resources. At each Kindloteka, children learn from qualified teachers, librarians, educators, and Amazon volunteers who help expand the programme by helping set up new locations and preparing starter kits for elementary school students.
“Launching the first STEM Kindloteka in Warsaw is a key part of our mission to support children’s education in Poland. We hope this new space will inspire future technology leaders and visionaries to keep learning and innovating. By partnering with local schools and nonprofit organisations, we continue building an ecosystem that nurtures digital skills among the youngest learners,” said Mariusz Mielczarek, Regional Director CEE, Public Policy at Amazon.

Warsaw supports young explorers
An official opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting took place with the participation of Jacek Wiśnicki, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw; Mariusz Mielczarek, Regional Director CEE, Public Policy at Amazon; Magdalena Kaszyńska, Deputy Director of the Warsaw Social Innovation Laboratory “Synergia”; Iwona Brzózka-Złotnicka, President of the Digital Coaction Association; fifth-grade students from Elementary School No. 258; and Amazon volunteers.
The STEM Kindloteka is located on the fourth floor of “Synergia,” inside the “FabLab Czacha Dymi!” space. Young learners can dive into immersive workshops in mathematics and science using virtual reality headsets, 3D printing, robots, Makey Makey boards, Micro:bit, and LEGO bricks—plus plenty of hands-on experiments. Every session, from programming and robotics to creative tinkering, is offered free of charge.

“Starting this month, organised groups can register for workshops, and we’ll soon open sign-ups for individual participants as well. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to explore new skills and discover the possibilities of modern technology. We’re confident the STEM Kindloteka will deliver equal access to high-quality educational tools for children and teenagers in Warsaw,” – Magdalena Kaszyńska, Deputy Director of the Warsaw Social Innovation Laboratory “Synergia.”
All workshops are tailored to the educational needs of elementary school students. Registration will open this month through the social media channels of the Warsaw Social Innovation Laboratory “Synergia.”
