The agenda featured a great lineup of speakers among them Věra Jourová, Commissioner to Justice, Consumers & Gender Equality; Frédéric Duval, Vice President, Amazon France and Malcolm Pinkerton, Vice President, eCommerce & Digital Insights at Kantar Consulting.
The keynote speakers were followed by a panel discussion evaluating where retail is heading next, as well as how consumer rights will evolve with high-tech innovations.
Daniel Dalton, consumer advocate and Member of European Parliament, Richard Piggin, Head of External Affairs from Which?, Eirini Zafeiratou, Director, EMEA Public Policy Amazon, and Irina Cruceru, Attaché, Permanent Representation of Romania, who takes over the rotating EU Presidency in January, participated.
The event ended by a variety of European food entrepreneurs, who presented their culinary delights, among them: Redondo Iglesias specialized in traditional Spanish Ibérico and Serrano ham; MixDeinBrot German producer of organic bread making mixes; Rarezze, a Sicilian company offering a range of artisanal delicacies and Mon Petit Panier a French company proposing quality products from local producers to create ready-to-use baskets.
